Maine Ferments

The Maine Fermentation Fair is run by Maine Ferments, a 501c3 that serves as a vessel for culturing community, seeking to harmonize and enrich the diverse fermentation traditions in Maine.

We are a small, volunteer-run group committed to sharing knowledge and cultures through the art of fermentation.



Tacos al Hongos: Savor the rich, earthy flavors of perfectly seasoned mushrooms with:

  • Rice and Beans: Enjoy this classic, hearty side, prepared with love.
  • Curtido: Experience the crisp, fermented treat that adds the perfect crunch.
  • Torta de Tres Leches: Indulge in a luscious, creamy dessert, topped with mildly fermented strawberry-kombucha sauce.
  • Also to include a very special, limited amount of an Aronia Berry Tepache !
